At Chapel Hill Oral Surgery, nothing matters more to us than the safety of our patients. That is why we embrace a unique and rigorous approach to anesthesia care. For each procedure requiring general or IV sedation, we have a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and three to four trained surgical assistants working in tandem with Dr. Hill to deliver the best possible surgical outcome. This anesthesia care model allows us to promote a safe and successful patient experience.

Megan Foureman, CRNA

Megan is the founder and owner of Counterpoint Anesthesia, the anesthesia team that partners with Chapel Hill Oral Surgery in our team sedation model. Megan’s extensive experience includes 20+ years in healthcare in a variety of settings, including hospitals, emergency departments, large academic teaching facilities, obstetrics and birthing facilities, simulation centers, and surgery centers. She has developed and taught classes for the treatment of high-risk populations and has volunteered as an instructor and a provider of anesthesia services during medical mission trips to Haiti and Uganda.

When she is not providing anesthesia in local hospitals, operating Counterpoint Anesthesia, volunteering, or staying ahead of the latest advancements in anesthesia, Megan is proud to be part of the Chapel Hill community. She loves yoga, gardening, being outdoors, and simply spending time with her family.
