As we look back on 2025, our team at Chapel Hill Oral Surgery feels deeply grateful. This year brought new opportunities to serve our community, strengthen our partnerships, and continue living our SWIM™ values of Safety, Wellness, Integrity, and Mastery.
Every patient, every procedure, and every shared moment has shaped a year that reminds us why we do what we do. Here are the memories and achievements that made 2025 special.

Our patients remain the heart of our practice. Their trust is something we never take for granted, and the stories shared through reviews and personal feedback continue to inspire our team.

Advancing Technology and Elevating Clinical Care
2025 was a year marked by significant improvements in our digital workflow and clinical offerings.
We upgraded our imaging capabilities with a new CBCT machine, which provides faster scans, enhanced clarity, and seamless integration with implant planning systems. This improvement strengthens communication with referring providers and streamlines the entire diagnostic process.
Our relationship with WakeMed Raleigh Hospital also expanded this year. This partnership allows us to treat pediatric patients and adults with complex medical histories in a hospital setting when needed, ensuring they receive the right level of care in the right environment.
The entire team continued to pursue excellence through education and certification, including:
- AAAHC Accreditation in April 2025
- DAANCE certification earned by Karla
- Ailm Atelier Top Doctor recognition awarded to Dr. Hill in June 2025
- Renewal of BLS certifications across the entire team
Dr. Hill continued to support national continuing education through the Pikos Institute, teaching courses on sinus grafting, advanced bone grafting, and full arch reconstruction. He also moderated the Full Arch Symposium, reinforcing our commitment to Mastery through ongoing learning.
Recognizing Team Milestones and Accomplishments
Our practice reached its 14-year anniversary this year. This milestone is a reminder of the dedication and skill that define our team.
We also celebrated several team anniversaries that highlight the stability and commitment within our practice.
- Five Years: Tiffany Nichols and Lindsay McDaniel
- Four Years: Shawn Clemons and JunJie Qin
- Three Years: Kelly Palestino Rosaldo and Selma Garcia Cruz
One of our proudest achievements this year was earning AAAHC Accreditation, a reflection of our ongoing commitment to Safety and Mastery.
As a team, we remain grateful for the patients and referring providers who place their trust in our care.
Supporting Our Community and Professional Partners
Our commitment to connection extends far beyond the walls of our surgical center.
This year, the Chapel Hill Study Club hosted a series of outstanding educational events, including:
- A holiday partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties
- A Study Club Kick-Off event with Dr. David Schwab
- A hands-on restorative dentistry session with Dr. Bob Margeas
- An interactive clinical photography session with Dr. Hussein Basma
We also built new relationships in our community through partnerships with Rainbow Soccer and South Durham Little League.
These programs reflect our ongoing dedication to education, mentorship, and community support.
Growing Our Practice and Vision for 2026
This year also brought meaningful growth within our practice. We strengthened relationships with referring providers by offering Lunch and Learns, gathering valuable feedback, and inviting dentists to observe live surgeries to better understand our process and set expectations for shared patients.
We also enhanced the patient experience through online appointment requests and automated review requests that support real-time feedback.
Looking ahead, we are excited to share that our practice has expanded into additional space to support clinical and administrative growth. This expansion sets the stage for Dr. Alexander Doye to join our team in Summer 2026, further strengthening our ability to serve patients with the compassion and excellence they expect from Chapel Hill Oral Surgery.
